Uro- Oncology

Course Objectives:

Objectives of the Uro-Oncology group of the Arab School of Urology
In keeping with the mission of the Arab School of Urology as a newly established section of the Arab Association of Urology we in the Uro-Oncology committee are committed to;
1. Uphold the latest approach to the management of Urological Cancers as per international guidelines yet acknowledging the limitations of available technology in some Arab countries.
2. Prepare and initiate courses addressing the diagnosis and treatment of most Urological malignancies that can be given:
  a. During the annual AAU meeting
  b. During satellite meetings in specific arab countries as part of their local meeting.
3. Arrange for "Expert " visiting Professorship by one of the committee members or another identified expert in the field who will travel to one of the Arab countries to give presentation about a specific topic.
4. Prepare detailed handouts on some common Uro-Oncology issues to be distributed to local associations. These will be regularly updated.
5. Work on establishing " Guidelines " for common Uro-Oncology topics taking into consideration the particulars of the Arab countries.
