Functional Urology
Educational Objectives:
Functional Urology program covers the main topics of LUTD including Female Urology, Neurourology, and male LUTS. By completing our educational activities, our candidates will learn the following:
• Indications for urodynamics in various patients groups including female urology
• Neurourology, male LUTS/BPE
• ICS terminology for LUTD.
• How to assess a urodynamics trace and rule out technical artefacts
• Correlate urodynamic findings to clinical presentation.
• Recognise various urological clinical aspect of patients with neurological disorders including SCI, MS, Parkinson’s disease, CVA, and cerebral palsy.
• Carry out and interpret urodynamics and videourodynamics on patients with neurogenic bladder
• Various treatment modalities to patients with neurogenic LUTD including CIC, Botox intravesical injection, surgical correction of neurogenic SUI.
• Recognise various urological clinical aspect of female patients with LUTD including SUI, UUI, VVF, and non-obstructive chronic urinary retention.
• Carry out and interpret urodynamics in female patients with LUTD
• Various treatment modalities for female patients with LUTD including SUI, UUI, VVF, and non-obstructive chronic urinary retention
• Guidelines on management of men with LUTS/BPE.
